Guided Activities
Deer stalking
Deer stalking is a fascinating way to experience Scotland’s beautiful landscape, experiencing mountains, glens and forests as you search for deer. Stalking is an important part of land management on Fordie Estate, to reduce grazing pressure on delicate ecosystems, promote natural regeneration of trees and contribute towards maintaining a strong, healthy population of deer.
Depending on the time of year, weather and your parties’ requirements deer stalking at Fordie can consist of a full day’s stalking out on the hill or dusk and dawn stalks which may involve stalking on foot and sitting in a high seat. Guests will be asked to shoot animals that are part of our cull rather than ‘trophy heads’. Our friendly expert gamekeeper and deer stalker will guide you on your outing, helping to find the deer and take a shot in the most effective way.
Fishing
Fordie owns fishing on the River Earn, which is a well known salmon and sea trout river. We can offer multiple rods across several beats of tranquil, well maintained river.
